To log into the Joy School English Teacher Portal, go to portal.joyschoolenglish.com. Enter your email address and your password. Click Log In.
To log out of the teacher portal, click on the circle next to your name and click Log Out.
If you’ve forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password link directly below the blue Log In button. Enter the email associated with your account, then click Send. You'll receive an email with a link to reset your password. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder. Click Return to Login and log in using your new password.
You can access printable QR codes by logging into the Joy School English Teacher Portal. From your class page, click the Print QR Codes button and Print. You can also print your class passcodes by clicking the Print Student Passcodes button and Print. The pictorial passcode (shape + color + object) for each student is listed next to their name.

Students can log into Joy School English in three different ways: using a QR code, a passcode, or Clever (or your district's SSO). See the Printing QR Codes and Passcodes video for printing instructions.
With a QR code, students log in by scanning their code on the purple tab of the student login page, eliminating the need for a class code.
With a class code, students log in on the green tab of the student login page. Students enter your class code, then click their name on the class list and enter their pictorial passcode (shape + color + object).
On Chromebook, PC, or Mac, students log in to Clever using the Chrome browser, then select the Joy School English icon inside the Clever Portal. On mobile devices, make sure the Joy School English app is downloaded to the device first. Then have students log in to Clever and select the Joy School English icon inside the Clever Portal.
Your class code can be found by logging into the Joy School English Teacher Portal. After selecting your class, you will see the class code displayed below the class name. If your class uses Clever or QR codes for login, a class code is not needed.
Log in to the Joy School English Teacher Portal and you'll see your class listed. Click on the class name to view a roster of students, passcodes, and other student data. You can also view a class report, set class usage limits, and make student assignments by clicking the corresponding tabs on this class screen.
To view individual student data, select a student's name. On the Units bar, blue circles indicate completed units, while the black circle represents the unit the student is currently working on. To view data for a completed unit, click a blue circle. On the Unit Activities bar, colored blocks represent each activity in the unit. Click a yellow block to view available student work, including recordings. Click an orange block to see the student's Unit Test results.
Log in to the Joy School English Teacher Portal and select your class. On the Students tab, click the Level column header to edit the students' levels. Use the drop-down menu to assign a different level to any student. When finished, click the Save icon in the column header.
Log in to the Joy School English Teacher Portal. Select your class, then select a student. Click on Student Work. You'll see student recordings and drawings. Click an activity tile to listen to the recordings, or click the Download icon in the bottom right-hand corner of each tile to download the file.
You can also find student work by clicking the Progress tab and scrolling to the bottom of the page. Click any yellow block in the Unit Activities bar to see the student recordings for that activity.
Log in to the Joy School English Teacher Portal. Select your class, click the Assignments tab, then Add New Assignment. Name the assignment, set the start and end dates, select the students you want to get the assignment, and click Save. Next, select the category, activity, and unit you want to assign. Continue adding activities you want to have in the assignment, then click Save Assignment.
The Assignment Report shows which students have completed an assignment. You can find it by clicking the Report icon for each current and past assignment in the Assignment Summary table.
To access the Teacher Menu, log into the Joy School English Teacher Portal and click the Teacher Menu link in the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to the web version of the Joy School English app. Click anywhere on the screen to enter the Teacher Menu.
To access teacher resources from the Teacher Portal, click on the colored circle next to your name, then select Teacher Resources. This will take you to the Getting Started Page. You can also access this page by going directly to joyschoolenglish.com/start. Here you'll find support videos, the scope and sequence, lesson plans, student consumables, vocabulary and letter printables, as well as home usage letters in various languages for parents. You can send requests for additional language translations to support@joyschoolenglish.com
This video is not for organizations that use Clever or another form of SSO program. To use a CSV to roster your school, log into the Joy School English Teacher Portal. From the school page, click on the Upload Roster icon in the top right corner. Download the rostering template by clicking the Download Blank Template link. Fill out all three tabs of the rostering template. After completing the template, return to the Teacher Portal. Either drag the CSV onto the rostering page or click Choose File and select the template from your computer. Once the template uploads, review the information to make sure everything is good, then click Import. You will get a successful check mark when the upload is complete.
Admin Usage Reports are essential data tools for analyzing school and class usage as well as test scores. To obtain this report, log in to the Joy School English Teacher Portal and click the Usage Report icon. Select a start and end date for the information. Click the Get Report button to generate the data. Once the usage report is populated, you can sort the columns based on the number of students, time spent, test averages, and speaking opportunities. To fine-tune the scope, click on a school or class name to see that individual data. You can click on the Download button to download a CSV file for a more detailed report.
