Joy School English is our flagship English language development software program. We are not just selling a product; we are partnering with schools to deliver measurable, life-changing literacy outcomes for thousands of children in the US.


The Opportunity: High-Impact Partnership

This is a strategic, quota-carrying sales role responsible for driving significant revenue growth by establishing and expanding partnerships with US K-12 school districts. As an APM, you are the face of Alegra Learning, responsible for introducing the Joy School English platform into new, high-potential district partners, and maintaining customer relationships beyond the initial sale.


This role is for you if you thrive on:

  • Strategic Market Penetration: Identifying, engaging, and developing a territory of high-potential school districts, focusing on Assistant Superintendents, Federal Program and Early Childhood Directors.
  • Consultative Selling: Leading complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders (e.g., Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, Technology Officers), presenting the pedagogical and financial value of Joy School English, and negotiating large-scale software licensing agreements.
  • Building Deep Relationships: Cultivating long-term, trusted relationships that ensure successful implementation, high adoption rates, and subsequent contract renewals and expansions. You don't just close a deal; you ensure the customer's success alongside our Customer Joy team.


Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes

  • Achieve and exceed an aggressive annual revenue quota by securing new contracts with target school districts.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan that prioritizes the most effective sales activities.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations that align our solution directly with district academic goals and funding sources. 
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and activity data using Pipedrive CRM.
  • Collaborate closely with the Curriculum, Marketing, and Customer Joy teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and satisfaction.

While prior sales experience or EdTech knowledge is helpful, our best performers have often come from diverse backgrounds. We prioritize raw talent, mission fit, and drive above specific work history.


Core Attributes of a Successful APM:

  • Drive & Resilience — The mental toughness to be comfortable hearing "No" repeatedly, viewing it as "Not yet." You have the relentless persistence required to succeed in long, complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Exceptional Learner — A proven track record of rapidly mastering new, complex subject matter (curriculum, technology, funding streams). You possess strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity.
  • Mission Alignment — A deep, genuine passion for education and equity. You believe in our product's ability to create life-changing opportunities for English learners.
  • Influence & Aptitude — The ability to influence and build trust with senior decision-makers and effectively manage a complex, revenue-generating process.


Prior EdTech/SaaS sales experience is a strong preference, but not a mandatory requirement.
